The President would like to respectfully invite you to the 2007 SERRA Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday, October 25th at Manor Road United Church, 7:00pm - 9:00pm Member Registration begins at 6:30 pm.
It really is hard to believe that almost a year has passed since I was elected President and I have to say that it has been a very rewarding experience. It has been a pleasure serving this community and I sincerely believe that in this past year the association has achieved quite a lot by its involvement in local issues.
Throughout the year we have continued to monitor the Committee of Adjustment agendas for irregularities. We met with local councilors, city planners and city solicitors, and earlier in the year we attended the Ontario Municipal Board. We are involved in steering committees on matters of local concern and we have participated in public community and town hall meetings. All these tasks are undertaken for and on behalf of the concerned residents of our neighbourhood.
I am extremely willing and prepared to stand again as President for another term. If re-elected I will continue to pursue issues and concerns on you behalf, but this could be made a lot easier if we have your support. Therefore I would urge you all to come to the AGM, to renew your memberships, to listen to the keynote speakers and to generally participate. If you are really passionate about this neighbourhood and have some spare time, I invite you come to one of our monthly board meetings and to offer help by becoming a board member.
