  1. Welcome and Introductions of Board of Directors 2006-07
    • Jim Walker welcomed new Board - he identified last year as a rebuilding year for SERRA and spoke of objectives for last year - increasing presence in the neighbourhood, building the capacity of the Executive and increasing membership.
    • Jim advised the other Directors he would not seek re-election as President and was thanked by the Directors for his leadership over the years.
  2. Elections for Executive Committee 2006-07
    • Treasurer - Paul Newbigging
      Moved by Cheryle Creatore/Seconded by Brian Abbey. Unanimous.
    • Secretary - Shelley Laskin
      Moved by Brian Abbey/Seconded by Jim Walker. Unanimous.
    • Vice-President - Paul Newbigging
      Moved by Shelley Laskin/Seconded by Brian Abbey. Unanimous.
    • President - Brian Abbey
      Moved by Jim Walker/Seconded by Cheryle Creatore. Unanimous.
    • Other Members offered to stay on in their positions.
    • Brian to follow-up with volunteer for Webmaster. All agreed that updating the website was urgent.
  3. Minutes of of September 6, 2006
    • On a Motion by Shelley Laskin, seconded by Jonathan Colford, Minutes approved as revised.
  4. Treasurer's Report
    • As the report was recently presented at the AGM, no report from Paul received.
    • Margaret to arrange for cheques from AGM to go to Paul for deposit.
  5. The OWL
    • Jonathan suggested the following topics for inclusion.
      • Article on State of Bayview Av - John
      • How to Stop Junk Mail - Brad
      • Summary of AGM with Photos - Cheryle
      • Membership - Margaret
      • President's Message and Committee of Adjustment Issues - Brian
    • Targeting November 3rd to receive draft articles.
    • Distribution and quantity was discussed.
    • Helga Teitsson offered to investigate distribution options other than Paul's Reliable.
  6. Next Meetings
    • Wednesday, November 29, 2006, 7:00pm at Manor Rd United Church (later changed to November 22, 2006 as Church not available).
    • Wednesday, January 10, 2007, 7:00pm at Manor Rd United Church.
